My Morning Cup – 4.30.13

My Morning Cup - 4.30.13

Last night I dreamed about Ohio. I don’t remember my dreams most of the time (enough so that I wonder if I DO dream most nights) so when I do, I feel they are worthy of comment.
Today I am thankful for the chance to have a second “hometown” in such a beautiful state. I always drive into Hillsboro via the same route we took the first time I visited, through Cincinnati on US 50, following the river for a bit, then past the zillion pin dot towns, the covered bridge, the log house, the once-stately homes, the miles of corn fields. I always cry, coming and leaving, because it IS like home. There is joy in coming back and sorrow in leaving.
